Q: What should I wear?
A: The weather changes rapidly so make sure you bring layers, extra clothes, and thick socks. For our ice fishing trips clients must dress for the weather which can included temperatures to -20.
Q: What gear is provided?
A: We provide waders, wading boots, top of the line fly fishing and spinning gear.
Q: Is transportation included?
A: Typically we meet clients boat launch site, however transportation can be provided from our business to the fishing location. We can arrange local pick-up if needed, call for details.
Q: Is catching fish guaranteed?
A: Catching fish is never guaranteed but I will guarantee I will work my butt off to put you on fish.
Q: What is the limit of salmon I can keep?
A: Depending on the species, time of year, and fishing location the limits vary from 2 -6 fish for red and silver salmon.
Q: Will we see wildlife on this trip?
A: There is a multitude of wildlife in Alaska and we commonly see Eagles, Brown Bears, Black Bears, Wolves, and other animals.
Q: What species of fish can I catch?
A: Depending on the time of year, you can fish for Red Salmon, Silver Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, and Grayling.
Q: Do I have to know how to fish to go on a trip:
A: No, but Travis or one of our other guides can teach you how if your wanting to learn fly-fishing or even just flipping for salmon.
Q: Can children come on the trip?
A: Yes, children are welcome on the trip. Children are the same rate as adults for reservations.
Q: Do you give Military Discounts?
A: Yes, we have Military Discounts
Q: Do you have multi-day trip or Group Discounts?
A: Yes, we have both multi-day trip and Group Discounts.
Q: Can we keep the Salmon?
A: Yes, as long as it is a legal fish caught and within your daily limit.
Q: How can we transport Salmon home?
A: We offer processing, freezing, and fish boxes for those that need a way to get their fish home.
Q: Can you keep Rainbow Trout or Dolly Varden?
A: No, the Kenai River is considered trophy waters for Trout and Dolly Varden and catch and release only.
Q: Can you take someone who is disabled or paralyzed fishing?
A: Yes, we have taken a fellow Paralyzed Veterans of America Soldier fishing in our drift boat and can help accommodate to special needs or situations.
Q: Do you work with non profit organizations?
A: Yes, we have worked with a variety of non-profit agencies and are always looking at ways to reach out and help including getting Wounded Warrior Project Soldiers on the water fishing!
